Schmidt Cattle Co. was born from a dream Michael Schmidt and Carol Ann shared when they began building their life together.

They envisioned a plan for their ranch that utilized regenerative agriculture and sustainable processes to raise high-quality beef that their neighbors and community could access directly. They shifted away from the corporate ranching model and created a farm to table cattle operation.

They’re continuing the family tradition of cattle ranching and sharing it with their community. The Schmidts have many other careers, but ranching has always remained at the center of their family.

They knew they wanted to build something meaningful. Something their children could one day be proud of.

Today, that dream includes cattle, horses, family gatherings, weddings on the ranch, and premium local beef shared directly with families throughout the region.

Ranching isn't their full-time job.

It's their way of life.
